RHINO-STOP® Truck-Guard – Heavy Vehicle Impact Protection for Industrial Zones

RHINO-STOP® Truck-Guard system, developed and manufactured by Safe Directionis a purpose-built safety barrier designed to handle impacts from high-centre-of-gravity vehicles such as rigid trucks and forklifts. Featuring twin w-beam guardrails and a standard height of 1000mm, the system provides increased visibility and protection—making it ideal for loading docks, logistics centres, and heavy-vehicle car park zones.

The barrier system is compliant with the 40kN impact load (Type G) as outlined in AS/NZS 1170.1, Clause 3.8, ensuring robust vehicle containment in high-risk industrial areas. The yielding baseplate design reduces impact forces on anchors, while optional sight rails and mesh infill provide additional pedestrian safety along elevated or mixed-traffic areas.

Built as a modular system using standardised components, RHINO-STOP® Truck-Guard is easy to install and can be customised to suit project-specific site requirements.

How does RhinoStop® Screen work?

Every RHINO-STOP® barrier system is engineered with a patented yielding base plate that effectively absorbs vehicle impact energy, significantly reducing stress on anchor points and protecting the concrete substrate from structural damage.

RHINO-STOP® Screen has been crash tested and verified to meet the 30kN (Type F) vehicle impact load in accordance with AS/NZS 1170.1, Clause 3.8.

Each RHINO-STOP® Screen installation requires a minimum of three (3) posts to ensure structural integrity and compliant performance.

Post spacing must not exceed 2 metres to maintain structural performance and compliance with RHINO-STOP® Screen system requirements.

RHINO-STOP® Screen can be configured to a total height of 1300mm, 1500mm, 1900mm, 2200mm, or 2500mm, depending on project requirements.

RHINO-STOP® Screen is constructed entirely from steel, featuring hot dip galvanised posts and w-beam rails for maximum strength and long-term corrosion protection.
