Supamaxx™ Guide: Which Speed Hump is Right for Your Location?

At Supamaxx™, we’re committed to helping Australian businesses and councils implement the right traffic calming solutions for every environment. One of the most common questions we’re asked is: Which speed hump should I use for my site?

Speed humps may seem like a simple safety measure, but choosing the wrong type can lead to early product failure, costly repairs, or even safety hazards. That’s why Supamaxx™ offers a carefully selected range of Australian-compliant speed humps, each designed for a specific application – from busy logistics centres to pedestrian crossings and car parks.

Supamaxx™ Recycled Rubber Speed HumpHeavy-Duty, High-Traffic Environments

The Supamaxx™ SH500 Speed Hump provides a cost-effective solution to traffic management, road safety and reduces risk of civil litigation by slowing down the vehicles and alerting them to potential dangers. Its flat, ribbed surface makes it skid resistant and safer in areas where pedestrians walk.

Our traffic calming speed hump is manufactured from 80% recycled rubber, natural rubber and other additives that not only minimize fading but also increase the durability and longevity of the product. The black and yellow section are embedded with reflective tape and abut together. Each SH500, 500mm long section has two illuminating cats’ eyes.

  • Truck and bus depots
  • Logistics and distribution centres
  • Warehousing with constant vehicle flow
  • Shopping centre carparks

They offer a gentler ride, produce less noise, and don’t absorb heat like steel. Additionally, rubber won’t damage the surface it’s installed on — a major benefit in asphalt-heavy locations.

Supamaxx™ Tyre KillerFor Traffic Security

When used in the correct direction, Supamaxx Tyre Killer’s independently retracting teeth simply lower when the car moves forward, allowing the vehicle to pass freely. When approached from an unauthorised / opposite direction, the teeth lock up denying access and causing almost certain tyre damage making it the go-to solution for:

  • Commercial Premises
  • One Way Areas
  • Restricted Areas

Optional End Caps are fitted to the ends of the interlocked Tyre Killer to complete the section. The End Caps (TKEC) are sold as individual, Female or Male to suit your installation needs.

Supamaxx™ – Helping You Make the Right Choice

Every location is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to speed humps. Our team at Supamaxx™ is here to help you evaluate the environment, traffic type, surface condition, and climate to ensure you select the right product for long-term performance and compliance.
